Working similarly to how Lowe’s responds during natural disasters, the brand is making sure it's responding to the pandemic with philanthropic investments to help business owners and communities. The company is giving $4.5 million to Lowe’s stores in the U.S. and Canada, in order for them to donate products in their communities to serve short and long-term needs. From home essentials, to food, to IV Poles for hospitals in need, we have seen tons of heartwarming stories where Lowe’s local stores are coming out with creative ways to shed some light on the current events. Lowe’s is also committing $3 million to support associates, including through the Lowe’s Employee Relief Fund. Delivering $1M in flowers to senior homes for Mother's Day

We are all going to experience a one-of-a-kind Mother's Day this year and some families might not be able to celebrate this special time together. That is why Lowe's is donating $1M worth of flowers baskets to nursing homes around the United States to make this Mother's Day as unique as it can be for families that can't enjoy the day together. Lowe's is sourcing the flowers from its network of small business growers and nurseries that have been affected financially by COVID-19. Then, the company will be delivering the flowers with the help of Uber to more than 500 long-term care and senior-living facilities accross communities that have been greatly impacted by the pandemic, including New York, Seattle, Miami, and more.

"Mother's Day is a special time of celebration between mothers, grandmothers and their children, and our hearts go out to the millions of families nationwide who won't be able to be with their loved ones this year," said Marisa Thalberg, Lowe's executive vice president, chief brand and marketing officer. "We hope that these flower deliveries, made possible by our network of local nurseries will bring a spark of joy to the moms and grandmothers in senior housing who may feel alone this Mother's Day."
